Welcome to TrueBooks
TrueBooks turns your Amazon Seller Central settlements into accurate, posted invoices in Xero — without the manual reconciliation.
What TrueBooks does
Every fortnight (or so) Amazon disburses your earnings and produces a settlement report — a long file listing every sale, refund, fee, VAT charge, advertising spend and adjustment that made up the payout. TrueBooks pulls that file in, classifies every line into the right Xero account and tax category, and writes a single tidy invoice into Xero that reconciles cleanly against the deposit hitting your bank.
The result: instead of sifting through a fifty-thousand-line spreadsheet each fortnight, you open Xero and see the settlement already posted, broken out by sales, refunds, FBA fees, advertising, storage, marketplace VAT and inventory reimbursements, with the right tax codes applied.
What you need before you start
- An Amazon Seller Central account in good standing on at least one supported marketplace (UK, EU, NA, Japan or Australia).
- A Xero organisation you can authorise — TrueBooks needs read/write to invoices and accounts, plus access to your tax types.
- A web browser. There's no app to install.
You don't need a developer account, an SP-API key, or anything technical. The Amazon and Xero connections are both standard "click to authorise" flows.
Your first 5 minutes
- Sign up at app.truebooks.co.uk/register. Verify your email and you'll land on an empty Settlements dashboard — that's expected on day one.
- Connect Amazon. Open Settings → Account and click Connect Amazon. Pick the right region (Europe / North America / Far East), accept the SP-API authorisation in Seller Central, and you'll be returned to TrueBooks with the connection live.
- Connect Xero. Same screen, click Connect Xero. Pick which Xero organisation to link, and TrueBooks will sync your chart of accounts so you can map categories to the right ledger codes.
- Confirm your mappings. Open Accounts & Taxes. TrueBooks pre-fills sensible UK defaults; if you're not on a UK marketplace you'll want to adjust them. The wizard walks you through it.
- Wait for your next settlement — or backfill the last 90 days from Settings → Settlement Settings → Automation. New settlements appear in your list as Amazon publishes them.
